You may still have some questions and that’s understandable. So I have included many of the most frequently asked questions here for you. I trust my answers reassure you and will help you in making the right decision.

Question: Do I need to come to your office to place my order/s?

Answer: No you don’t, but we recommend you do, because we’d like to meet and welcome you to our business and the best and easiest way for you to get to know us is to check our samples and make sure you're happy with our quality of work. But you can place your order by phone (02) 9749 1966, or fax (02) 9749 7587 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or you can email us at sales@advanceprinting.com.au, or post your order to 38 Railway Street, Lidcombe NSW 2141.

However, if your job is quite big & complicated I suggest you ring for one of our sales representatives to come to your premises at a time convenient for you.

Question: Can I send my order by email?

Answer: Absolutely. But we can assist you faster and better if you fax your order and a printout of the job. When you email us please include your business name and phone number in your email message, as well as in your fax.

Question: How do I know if your prices are fair?

Answer: We’ve always been able to stay one step ahead of our competitors by offering strong competitive prices, which fall into line with the high standard of work we produce. We also invite you to request a quote before proceeding. But make sure you mention “The FAST-START Printing and Signage Pack For Image and Profit” when you contact us as this offer is strictly limited to the first 27 people to order. Question: Are there any additional fees besides those quoted?

Answer: Very minimal, Apart from an artwork fee if you need us to help you with the design or if we need to modify your file we do not have any additional fees. Of course costs will vary if you change paper, ink colour, graphics or quantity. Reasonable shipping fees are also in addition to the prices quoted. We also suggest you work with us right from the start as this can save you time and money if your artwork has to be re-done due to incompatible file conversions. This happens when your artwork is created in a different software program, which is why you should have all your printing done by Advanced Printing & Signs where everything is done under one roof without the fuss and bother.

Question: What if my current business cards are printed in full colour with matt coating and not gloss like your FREE business cards?

Answer: Easy, All you need to do is pay a miserly $40 extra and we can produce full colour printing, plus matt cello coating on both sides for you. And that’s it, you can have your cards printed and finished with a high quality attractive consistent material and finish.

Question: What is your standard turnaround time?

Answer: We take deadlines very seriously. Under normal circumstances we require 7 - 10 working days to produce your project from the date you confirm the artwork, depending on the size and quantity. If your project is big and complicated, or if you need it urgently, please discuss this with our friendly reps and we’ll do our best to meet your needs.

Question: When can I expect my Free gifts when I order “The FAST-START Printing and Signage Pack For Image and Profit?.”

Answer: Your Free gifts will be dispatched within 10 working days from the date your artwork is approved, however, we'll try to co-ordinate with you if some of the items are needed in a hurry. We appreciate your decision to do business with us and we will respond accordingly.

Question: Can you give me more information on your Free display system?

Answer: Sure! This is a Retractable Banner Stand, which uses a single spring-loaded roller mechanism at the base. The two feet at the base can be folded out, the gloss/matt laminated scratch resistant display graphics are pulled out from the base, attached to the top of the pole and the stand is then ready to use in a few seconds with no tools required.

Question: Can you help me with design?

Answer: No Problem. Our professional designers know all the printing requirements there are to know, inside out. And unlike some less experienced designers, we don’t just come up with some fancy design without considering the expense and difficulty of producing your project. We will design something with impact that’s easy and practical to produce, whether it’s a logo, business stationery or corporate identity etc.

Question: How do I give you my files?

Answer: Easy. You can attach the file with your email while placing the order, or send us a disk (CD, DVD, Flash Memory or Floppy Disk) in the mail or by courier, or contact us for other alternatives.

Question: Can I send you documents created in MS word or PowerPoint?

Answer: Due to the nature of the programs, which are not designed for commercial printing we'll convert your file into another more powerful graphic program or different file format for producing your printing project. However, a hard copy(print out) is required to confirm layout and positioning. If we encounter any difficulties when accessing your file/s, we'll advise you of more suitable alternatives.

Question: What other file formats can you take?

Answer: We accept most Mac or PC version formats, or files output as a high resolution PDF. Some of the best formats are CoreDraw, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, QuarkXpress etc.

Question: What is full colour printing? Will the colour I see on the screen match the final result?

Answer: Studies have shown that the use of full colour instead of black and white can increase readership and create a whopping 60% increase in message retention. Almost any printed piece will have greater impact with colour.

Full colour printing is done using four colours of ink called CMYK. C is Cyan(blue), M is Magenta(red), Y is Yellow and K is Black. By contrast, computer monitors use a different colour model called RGB. R is Red, G is Green and B is Blue. Because of this different colour model, what you see on the computer screen will be similar to what will be printed by a high quality printing press, but hardly ever match exactly. To get a closer match your monitor needs to be accurately and periodically colour calibrated. With this CMYK colour model, you can get virtually any colour you like printed, apart from metallic ink colours such as silver or gold.

Question: What are your specifications for the printing files I will supply to you?

Question: Will I see proofs before you start my project?

Answer:

Yes, it is our standard practice to proof artwork prior to printing. Upon approval, the proof is to be signed and returned. The signed proof will be used for quality control during printing.

Question: What if I found a mistake in the print?

Answer: If you find mistakes in the proof before the production of your job, we'll work with you to correct them, but once the proof are signed, you, our valued customer are responsible for the accuracy of all artwork. Make sure you check the proof very carefully before signing.

Question: What payment terms do you accept?

Answer: We only accept COD for the first order but you can open a 30-day account with us later once your application is approved.

For your first order with us, we require an official order form to be signed by you, plus a 30% deposit before proceeding with your order, and balance to be paid on pick-up or delivery.

We accept cash, company cheques, money orders, or bankcards, credit cards & mastercards (not American Express or Diners Cards)

Question: What is your address, your phone number and operating hours?

Answer: Our head office is located at 38 Railway Street, Lidcombe NSW 2131 with our full colour production facilities located in Padstow. We're setting up a city branch at the moment. And we'll inform you of the details once everything is done.

Our office is open from 9.15am to 5.30pm Monday through Friday and 9.30am to 2pm on Saturday.
